Portrait of Marie-Thérèse by Picasso

Beautiful representation of this painting in the form of a tapestry … Marie-Thérèse was Picasso’s “golden muse”. She was Picasso’s model wife and lover with whom he had a child. This woman inspired one of the most prolific and famous outpourings of creativity in 20th century art.

This work represents a portrait that is both intimate and aesthetically objective. Indeed, Marie-Thérèse is represented through volumetric shapes in bright colors, adjusted by realistic details such as her hat and her coat.
