Jacqueline Roque is Picasso\u2019s second wife and his most prolific muse across his oeuvre. Identified by her long black hair and piercing eyes, Picasso depicts his subject in multiple perspectives.<\/p>\n<p><span>In a close-up view, Picasso frame\u2019s the image so that we see just her head and neck. At first glance, a full-face portrait gazes directly straight-forward. However, upon a closer look, the extreme side profiles of two women who stare at each other, nose to nose emerge. This striking linocut is executed in bold and fiery palette of black and vibrant yellow and orange.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large XcVN5d tw-ta\" id=\"tw-target-text\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">This cover is woven on a jacquard loom, in a workshop in northern France. It is part of this unique collection of cushions from a selection of Picasso paintings. In agreement with the Picasso Succession, we had to choose the patterns that could be transposed from the canvas to the weaving while maintaining the strength of the colors and the purity of the lines. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large XcVN5d tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">Back of the cover: 100% linen, dark beige color. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large XcVN5d tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">Zipped cover delivered without padding. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large XcVN5d tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">Upholstery cushion available as an option (see accessories below).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pablo Picasso\u00a0T\u00eate de Femme (Head of\u00a0a Woman), 1962\u00a0is a stunning portrait of JAcqueline Roque\u00a0captured in a cubist style.
